Let me start by saying that I highly recommend you DO NOT use Network Solutions for email. I’ve worked with several clients who have had many issues with Network Solutions, email deliverability, bounce backs, etc. I’ve contacted their customer service on a few occasions, and I feel like I’m talking to sales people trying to upsell a bunch of their other products.

I recommend you switch to Google Apps for Work. Not only will you be using Google’s Gmail platform for email, but you get an entire suite of business & productivity tools for only $5/user/mo. Learn more about Google Apps »

If you’re stuck with Network Solutions email, but you’d like to forward your email to a personal account, or just another email you own, you can easily set this up from your Network Solutions Webmail account. It takes less than 5 minutes. Let’s dive in.

Setup Network Solutions Email Forwarding

First, let’s login to our Network Solutions Webmail.

  1. Navigate to webmail.networksolutionsemail.com/appsuite/
  2. Enter your User name and Password — Your User name is your full email address
  3. Click the Login button
Network Solutions Webmail login screen

Next, we need to access our email settings.

  1. Click the 3 horizontal bars in the top-right corner of the screen
  2. Click on Settings
Network Solutions email settings
Navigate to your email settings page

Email Forwarding Settings

To find the Network Solutions email forwarding settings…

  1. Click Mail in the left navigation. This opens up more options.
  2. Click Auto Forward
Network Solutions email forwarding instructions
Click “Mail”. Then “Auto Forward”. Enter email address. Check “Enable forwarding”. Click “Save”

Add Emails to Forward Mail

  1. Directly underneath Forward mail to:, add in the email address(es) that you’d like to forward your email to

You can forward your mail to multiple email address (up to 5). Just enter each email address in a separate input box.

Email Forwarding Settings

  1. Check the Enable forwarder checkbox — This MUST be checked for email forwarding to work.
  2. Keep a copy of each forwarded message — Only check this box if you want to keep email in Network Solutions, in addition to forwarding them to your other email account.

NOTE: If you keep a copy in your Network Solutions account, and you reach your mailbox size limit, your emails will not be forwarded. I recommend NOT checking this box unless you have unlimited storage with Network Solutions.

Just click Save when you’re finished.

In my testing, the emails began forwarding almost immediately. Make sure you send a few test emails from different accounts to ensure that email forwarding is setup & working properly.

This is a great solution to manage all your emails in one place, and never have to login to Network Solutions Webmail ever again.

If you have any trouble with Network Solutions email forwarding, please reach out in the comments.

Hi, we’ve setup email forwarding on the NS mailbox, but its not working. I’ve sent email from my yahoo account and also from my work account, but email is not forwarding from NS mailbox.
Have opened a ticket for this on NS, but don’t know how long they will take. Is there any solution to this?

Noor — Without seeing your setup, I’m afraid I can’t offer much help.

Did you check the “Enable forwarder” box?

Also, have you made sure you haven’t reached your NS mailbox size limit?

I know this thread is two years old, but, for what it’s worth, I have the same problem as Noor. I have to use the NS email because the organization I’m working with uses NS. My email account there is brand new, so my mailbox cannot have reached its size limit. I have followed the directions EXACTLY as described above. I DO have the Enable Forwarder box checked. I have sent several emails to the NS account over several days, and none have forwarded.

I wish I had a good answer for you, Dan. Unfortunately, I don’t.

Your best bet is Network Solutions support, but it pains me to have to write that. Their support has been terrible, in my experience. I sincerely hope you have better luck.

Thank you for your quick response. I will contact NS and see what they say. I’ll report back if I have any success.

I am going to say it clearly, Network Solutions is incompetent, nothing works. I’m with the same problem. And I know that the technical support is simply that you are going to want to sell another product, when not even the one I have hired works well.

I agree with you. They’re terrible.

I wrote this a long time ago because I had a client that unfortunately was stuck with them, but I wanted to get them off of Network Solutions’ email platform.

For anything web-related, Network Solutions would probably be the absolute last recommendation I’d give to anyone.

Need help with the free email forwarding I’ve had for years, has stopped working and there is no where to set a free “catchall” forwarding, so I receive nothing. i’ve always just used the email forwarding to gmail and the website forwarding to my site. Now it has disappeared. Any ideas? has NWS changed something?
Obviously I won’t receive a notification of a reply as the email isn’t working.

    Thanks

Sorry Colin but I wrote this article years ago and much has changed with Network Solutions since then. I cannot recommend them for any services, nor can I help troubleshoot issues. My best advice is to move off of them and use a better email service. I recommend Google Workspace or Microsoft Office 365.

How do I stop forwarding from NS to Gmail? It is not working and I get a window pop up on a different computer that states
Enter your user name and password for the following
    Server [smtp: our domain]
    User Name: [my email address]
    Password: [my email password]

    OK / Cancel

It just keeps popping back up!
How can I stop the attempts to forward

    1. Dave Warfel Avatar

Hi – Sorry but I haven’t used Network Solutions email in many years. I’m not sure how to get that to stop popping up.

Your best bet is to contact the NS support team.
